Get Your Cosmetic Surgery Before January 1, 2010 And Maybe Save 5%!

Section 9017 of page 2045 of the Senate healthcare bill currently under consideration contains a 5% tax on all elective cosmetic medical procedures. This includes dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane, neuromodulators such as Dysport and Botox, laser treatments, and more conventional surgical procedures such as facelifts and nose jobs. Should the tax pass the Senate and be approved by the House, it would take effect January 1, 2010. For patients who are considering any type of cosmetic surgery, it would be a good idea to consider having the surgery before the end of the year in order to save the 5% tax should it pass.
